Italian Sausage on a Bun

Fire up the grill, these sausages are perfect for summer barbecues!

Ingredients
  • 5 Zabiha Halal Fully-Cooked Classic Italian Chicken Sausages
  • 3 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 5 sausage buns, toasted
Directions
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high. Grease grates well.
  2. Cook sausages, turning occasionally, for 4 to 6 minutes until heated through and well marked.
  3. In bowl, combined diced tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  4. Serve grilled sausages in toasted buns. Top evenly with tomato mixture.

Tip: For an additional kick, add some Calabrian chili pepper to the tomato mixture.
