Eid is a time for family get-togethers and feasts! Since I’m hosting my family this year for an Eid Lunch, I want to do something special to celebrate this joyous occasion. Besides all the delicious traditional foods, I decided to set-up a fancy Eid Tablescape as well. My family loves decorating little spaces and creating vignettes and Eid is the perfect reason to do just that! There’s something about a good dining experience that we all tend to remember. I’m hoping you can get some ideas through this blog post on how you can decorate your table for Eid and make it memorable for your guests.
We had no idea at first about what we wanted to do, but after a whole lot of “Pinteresting” and “googling” for inspiration, I finally had a vision in mind. We went for a neutral yet glam theme with marble and gold accents, shiny plates, metallic accessories, and of course, some candles to create that beautiful ambiance. The “Happy Eid” plates, cups and napkins are from SimplyCelebrateInc Eid Party Box.
Surprisingly, this tablescape was incredibly easy to put together! Once I had all the accessories and dinnerware finalized, I basically worked from the middle of the table outward, placing similar items on either side of the “centerpiece” to keep the overall look balanced.
The Eid Mubarak banner from Discover Shop on the window along with the gold, white and marble balloons on either side also create a beautiful backdrop to the whole dining area. It works as a great picture spot for family photos as well J
Over on my side buffet, we set up the cutest little Kaaba favour boxes from Bow & Wrap for my nieces and daughter. We filled these in with little treats and Happy Eid balloons that the kids would enjoy playing with, along with their Eid money envelopes. These things are sure to add to the kids’ excitement on Eid day.
And of course – we cannot forget cake! At least not in my family. Besides all the traditional sweets, we always like to have cake. One of the kids takes charge in cutting it while everyone claps for them. It’s all about those little moments. This cake topper from HafsaCreates is definitely the cherry on top of the Eid cake. Yes, I placed dessert on the table before the appetizers and main courses. Based on how nice it looks, it just had to be done!
So that’s all I have for you. Feel free to pin these pictures for ideas for your Eid get-together! You can use a similar decorating style or colour scheme, even if it’s not so fancy. I would definitely do something like this again because it was so fun to get creative with the dining space and give my guests a memorable experience. Have you ever tried a fun table-scape for your get-togethers? What is your style? Let me know in the comments below!
Wishing you a Happy Eid!
